Slow living is not just the mindful doing of things, nor is it emulating anyone who appears to be promoting slow living, although these endeavors are totally worthy. Slowness is a path to understanding your own embodiment so thoroughly that you can put away your mental training and rebirth yourself as your own empowered guide, your own empowered knower of wellness. You have more than five senses with which to listen to this vast creation. As you slow down enough to hear yourself, you find a wealth of riches pouring out of you as though they were waiting for you to do just this. Your life might change. Your work in the world might shift. Your self-reliance might delight you. Your bonds might break. Your confidence might grow. The real kind of confidence, embodied.
Slow life wellness and empowerment certainly does consist of some slow food, some slow and mindful doing of things, but it also encompasses a dynamism you didn't know you could sustain, because in becoming more and more of your own oracle, you free up a tremendous amount of energy. This is practical, of course, but also sets you up to become energetically different. Things within you open up, new spaces and places for the wellness that is already there to flow.
